Discover the Power of Intercultural Agility for Your Marriage

Learn the Tools to Understand Your Partner Like Never Before

Get to Know Intercultural Agility

Intercultural Agility (a close relative of Cultural Intelligence or CQ) is a robust framework for navigating relationships, particularly your most important one: your marriage. Together, we'll explore several powerful IA tools.

Challenge your Cultural Lens

Have you had a conflict with your spouse where you were confused as to why it became such a big deal? Yeah, us too. We'll look at cultural perceptions, and how our brain, while amazing, can fail us at times.

Learn the Three Colors of Worldview

Honor/Shame. Innocence/Guilt. Power/Fear. These are the three primary worldviews in our world, and each of us has a unique mix that incorporates all three based on where we grew up, how we were raised, and a wealth of other factors.

Explore the 12 Dimensions of Culture

Not only do we have our own unique view of the world, but we also have many preferences! By beginning to understand and value all of these cultural spectrums, we can embrace being a cultural learner in this diverse world.

Who Is Sydney Berry Ling?

As a grounded disciple of Jesus, Sydney's faith is the cornerstone of her life and work. She is deeply committed to living out her core values of integrity, transparency, and excellence in every aspect of her life: personally as well as in her marriage, parenting, and coaching practice, Upside Down Under.

Born and raised in South Louisiana, hospitality and curiosity come naturally to her. Many amazing places have hosted her for a season (or more) in many corners of the globe, including Wellington, New Zealand; Kampala, Uganda; Sydney, Australia; Knoxville, Tennessee; and Austin, Texas, where she currently resides with her beautiful family. Each place and culture has contributed to who she is and how she approaches her coaching practice.

Sydney has been married to her Asian-Australian hubby, Kevin, for nearly 15 years and they are blessed with two wonderful children, whom they affectionately call their "Cajun Asians." These years of marriage, along with the many challenges they have faced and overcome, are what inspires Sydney's passion and dedication to championing cross-cultural couples and families around the world.
